Wilderness First Aid course

(approx. 20 hours over two days)

Per person: $175 (10 - 15 people per course)

Note: this is a certificate course from St. John Ambulance.

Prerequisite: current standard First Aid certificate

Wilderness First Aid is for those who live, work and play in the wilderness. This specialized first aid and safety course focuses on how to take care of casualties when medical help is not nearby.

This course will prepare you with skills and knowledge to treat injuries and promote healing and recovery when you are hours or days away from emergency medical aid. Topics covered include:

  • cold eposure
  • dental emergencies
  • burns
  • gunshot wounds
  • broken bones
  • stomach ailments
  • spinal injuries
  • animal bites
  • and much, much more!

Presented by nationally-certified Instructors trained in the St. John Ambulance program, Wilderness First Aid is about preparing for an emergency, and making the right decisions to ensure your own safety and that of others. This program teaches you what to do when you can't call 911.

If you have ever been isolated from professional medical help, even if just for a few hours, then Wilderness First Aid is the ideal course for you.
